About the Role Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We’re looking for a talented presales individual with deep programming and infrastructure management expertise to join our global sales engineering specialist team. As a Sales Engineering Specialist focused on our Demo Resource Infrastructure, you will design, build, and implement solutions that increase the efficiency of our field and partner Sales Engineering teams . You will be responsible for collaborating with both our product and sales engineering teams, building and managing demo resource infrastructure, and building out demos that highlight product and platform features. This is a full-time, hybrid position out of our Denver, CO office or remote in the US. Technologies You’ll Use
Fivetran's data integration platform, deployment and connectivity methods, and automation/abstraction technologies for infrastructure creation and management
Cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
Programming languages such as Python, Javascript, Go, SQL
Container management software including Kubernetes, Docker, and Podman
Basic bash/shell scripting
What You’ll Do
Enable field sales and sales engineering efficiency by creating and managing demo resources and associated infrastructure
Build and deploy bespoke infrastructure for use in high value customer demos and scenario specific engagements
Write and maintain internal code for automations including slack bots, alterting, reporting, and cost control
Work closely with Fivetran’s Product and Engineering teams to ensure feature launches are accompanied by the appropriate demo resources and supporting infrastructure
Create and maintain curated written and recorded demo content related to our highest value connectors, destinations, technologies, and features
Be a voice in the programmatic deployment and management of Fivetran on our blog
Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends data management
Skills We’re Looking For
5+ years as a software engineer, site-reliability engineer, sales engineer, cloud architect or other technical role with a focus on cloud infrastructure
Extensive expertise with modern cloud and on-premise network architectures, connectivity mechanisms (SSH, Reverse SSH, VPN, PrivateLink), and data security
Comprehensive knowledge of self-hosted database management, UNIX/LINUX, and management of compute in Azure, AWS, and GCP
Extensive expertise with demoing products, features, and technologies to both technical and non-technical audiences
Passion for infrastructure, programmatic management of infrastructure, and data
Curiosity to learn and assimilate technical information quickly, enthusiasm to share and teach others
