Role: Scala Engineer / Lead Developer

Location: Germany - presence in Hamburg or Berlin is required a couple of times per month.

Signify are collaborating with a long-standing client of ours who are searching for experienced Scala Developers, with leadership experience to join their established Scala team.

About you:

• Experienced within Scala and Functional Programming.
• Worked with libraries such as Cats and Cats Effect (or ZIO or the Akka eco-system).
• Experience with Kubernetes and deploying on AWS is highly advantageous.
• Prior experience leading people is a must have.
• Must be based in Germany and can work without requiring visa sponsorship, and willing to commute to Berlin OR Hamburg a couple of times per month.

• Collaborate closely with fellow developers helping to create a unique app ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for their customers.
• Guide your team by cultivating a supportive and empowering environment, contributing to their professional and personal growth.
• Oversee the quality of your teams systems upholding rigorous standards via code reviews and testing.
