About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Software Developer to join our growing team. As a Lead Developer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our technology and driving our mission forward. This is a hands-on role that requires both strong technical skills and the ability to mentor and guide a team of talented developers. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, security, and reliability of our codebase, while contributing to the design and development of new features and products. Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of 6 developers. Hands-on Development: Contribute to the codebase and participate in the full software development lifecycle. Code Quality and Security: Establish and enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to security best practices. Architecture and Design: Contribute to the design and architecture of our software systems. Release Management: Oversee the release process, ensuring smooth and timely deployments. Compliance and Security: Champion security initiatives and contribute to maintaining compliance with industry standards such as SOC2 and PCI. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system performance. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Lead Developer, with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring growing development teams. 5+ years of experience in software development. Strong proficiency in C# and SQL Server. Experience with AWS services. Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with database design and management. Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns. Strong commitment to security, reliability and scalability. Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills. Bonus Points: Experience in the fintech industry, particularly in lending. Experience with SOC2 and/or PCI compliance. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Experience with rapid growth startups. Bilingual (French and English) is a strong asset. Benefits: Competitive salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 CAD Comprehensive benefits package.
