Lead Software Engineer Direct Hire Remote Triumph is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for our client in the Financial Services Industry. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for defining the technical vision, architecture, and best practices for software applications. You will mentor engineers, make key architectural decisions, and ensure that systems are scalable, secure, and performant. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, aligning technical initiatives with business objectives while fostering a culture of engineering excellence. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of critical software solutions. Define and enforce software architecture best practices across engineering teams. Oversee the development of scalable APIs and microservices, ensuring performance and security. Optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS, ensuring high availability and cost efficiency. Collaborate with engineering leadership, product managers, and data teams to align technical initiatives with business goals. Establish CI/CD and DevOps best practices, improving deployment automation and system reliability. Drive technical innovation and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies. Mentor and develop senior and junior engineers, fostering a high-performing team culture. Lead technical discussions and decision-making, ensuring alignment on long-term strategy. Qualifications: Expert-level proficiency in Python and experience building complex software systems. Deep experience in software architecture, cloud computing (AWS), and distributed systems. Strong understanding of API design, database management (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, DynamoDB), and system security. Proven ability to lead engineering teams, mentor engineers, and drive best practices. Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow). Expertise in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent) and infrastructure as code. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
