About Us: We're a small, scrappy web design and development agency, and we're looking for a trusted developer to help us take things to the next level. We specialize in creating high-quality WordPress and Webflow websites for our clients, and our team is passionate about building sites that make an impact. Right now, it’s just me and a few talented freelancers, but I need someone to step in as my right-hand, take the lead on projects, and help guide the technical side of things as we grow. The Role: As our Lead Web Developer, you'll be the go-to person for making sure every website we build is top-notch, and you'll play a major role in how our projects evolve. You won’t just be coding all day—you’ll be working alongside me and our freelancers to shape how we approach our projects, manage client relationships, and keep improving our processes. Here’s what you’ll be doing: Lead Development: You’ll take the lead on building WordPress and Webflow websites from start to finish—turning designs into fully functional sites. Collaborate & Mentor: While we’re still a small team, we'll work closely together. You’ll be overseeing some of our developers, sharing best practices, and guiding technical decisions. Client Interaction: You’ll be working directly with clients to understand their needs, offering your expertise to solve problems, and making sure their vision comes to life. Shaping the Process: As we grow, we’ll need you to help establish development workflows, best practices, and set the technical direction for the agency. Big Picture Thinking: You’ll have the chance to shape the technical architecture of projects and influence how we grow as an agency. What You’ll Need: Proven experience with WordPress and/or Webflow development. A solid understanding of HTML, PHP, SCSS, JavaScript, and web development fundamentals. The ability to think strategically and solve problems creatively. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. A self-starter attitude—you’ll be working independently, but you’ll also need to collaborate closely with me and the team. A passion for making great websites that deliver real value to clients. Why This Is a Great Opportunity: Be my right-hand: This isn't just a job—it’s a collaboration. I need someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and help build the agency from the ground up. Direct client impact: You'll be working closely with clients and shaping the projects from the very start. Your decisions will directly affect the success of every project. Flexibility: This is a contract position with 10-20 hours per week to start, giving you the flexibility to set your own schedule and work remotely. You'll have the freedom to focus on delivering great work without a lot of micromanagement. Room to grow: While this is a part-time role to begin with, there’s plenty of room to grow. As the agency expands, there will be opportunities to take on more work, and potentially transition into a full-time employee role down the road. You’ll be a key player in shaping the direction of the company, and your input will directly influence our future growth. What I’m Looking For: I’m looking for someone who’s more than just a “developer”—I need a teammate who’s excited about building something together, who’s willing to pitch in and help with whatever’s needed, and who’s ready to be a key part of a growing agency. If that sounds like you, and you’re ready to help take things to the next level, let’s talk. How to Apply: If you're excited about the role, please send over your portfolio and a quick note about why you'd be a great fit. Candidates who include a video showing their work and introducing themselves will be given priority—I'd love to hear about your experience and see you in action! Job Type: Contract Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week Schedule: Monday to Friday Application Question(s): Tell me about yourself and your experience. If possible, video resumes are encouraged. Experience: Web development: 5 years (Preferred) Work Location: Remote
