Our goal is to create a fun, engaging environment where kids can learn coding, collaboration, and creativity through gameplay. Job Overview: We're seeking an enthusiastic, Minecraft-savvy instructor to lead our weekly online classes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gaming, coding, and working with children ages 7-12 and up in a virtual environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead weekly Minecraft Bedrock Edition classes for students 2. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate coding concepts within Minecraft 3. Guide students in collaborative projects, resource gathering, and creative building 4. Facilitate team-based activities and challenges 5. Teach basic coding concepts using Minecraft's built-in tools and mechanics 6. Manage the class server and ensure a safe, positive gaming environment 7. Provide constructive feedback and encourage student growth Qualifications: Extensive experience with Minecraft Bedrock Edition Strong knowledge of coding fundamentals and ability to teach them through Minecraft Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience) Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to young learners Outgoing, energetic personality with a talent for inspiring and engaging children Experience in teaching or mentoring children preferred Familiarity with online teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom) Required Skills: Proficiency in Minecraft Bedrock Edition gameplay and mechanics Understanding of basic coding concepts and how to apply them in Minecraft Ability to create and manage Minecraft servers Experience with collaborative gaming and team-based activities Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills Ideal Candidate: We're looking for someone who: Has a genuine passion for Minecraft and gaming culture Enjoys working with children and creating a fun, relaxed learning environment Can balance fun gameplay with educational content Is adaptable and can think on their feet in a dynamic virtual classroom Has personal experience growing up playing Minecraft (recent graduates welcome!)
