We are looking for .NET developers! Megabyte Systems is the developer of the Megabyte Property Tax System (MPTS), a fully integrated, California property tax system. We are currently acquiring new clients and require a permanent, full-time .NET developer for Megabyte’s Greater Victoria Area, B.C. office to develop software with .NET. You will: Develop innovative solutions to solve Megabyte’s complex business problems Maintain and improve existing programs Report, investigate and fix product defects Optimize and apply best practices Maintain high standards of quality for code, technical documentation and program deliverables Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to deploy and release quality products to Megabyte’s clients Contribute to the development lifecycle, including analysis, design, QA and implementation Participate in brainstorming and idea generation activities Stay up to date with advanced technologies You are: A University or College graduate with 5+ years of experience developing software with .NET and/or .Net Core using C# Self-motivated, detail-oriented, creative and curious Comfortable working alone and as part of a team Skilled at planning, scheduling and prioritizing your workload Committed to meeting deadlines and delivering projects on time You need: 5+ years of experience developing software with C# and WinForms. A 2-year diploma or better in Computer Science or related fields A good understanding of software design patterns. Nice to Have: At least 1-year experience in WinForms development using DevExpress controls Understanding of data modelling and storage with well-known relational databases.
