Job Description: Pay Range: $50hr - $55hr Responsibilities: Provide expertise in network architecture design, troubleshooting, security assessments, cloud solutions, and hardware/software evaluations. Maintain and upgrade the hardware and software components within the network infrastructure to ensure functionality, performance, and resilience. Recommend and support the optimization of network performance, security, and infrastructure. Tailor support to the Lab's needs, including remote diagnostics, consulting, and configuration guidance. Troubleshoot and fix networking issues to restore network performance, security, and reliability. Collaborate with team members, customers, and stakeholders to ensure network solutions and configurations align with organizational goals. Provide training or knowledge transfer to help Lab personnel maintain and troubleshoot the network. Measure and monitor network performance during simulations to support research activities. Collaborate with team members to assess network-related cybersecurity threats and solutions. Skills: Master in mainstream networking technologies, including wired and wireless, VLANs, Subnets, Static vs DHCP IP, Switches, Routers, Hostnames. Proficient in configuring and deploying servers. Virtualization. Software Defined and Virtual Private Networking. LDAP and Identity Management. DNS. Storage Server, NFS Directories. Firewalls. WIPS. Radius. Captive Portal. Patch Panels. IDS. Network Interfaces. Computing Clusters. Inventory tracking. Zero-trust networking design. MD PnP Program Capabilities and Services. The MD PnP program has established a wide range of lab capabilities to provide unique services to collaborators across the digital healthcare ecosystem. Clinical System Integration, and Interoperability Assessment and Testing. pply systematic analysis and testing for evaluating health technology as it relates to clinical workflow, cybersecurity, system safety, interoperability, and resilience, to support reliable care delivery. Cybersecurity Risk Assessment: Product lifecycle assessment - analysis of hazard, risks, and operational viability of risk-control measures. Pre-Deployment Evaluation and Testing: Performance assessment and testing for pre-deployment detection, evaluation, and mitigation of clinical integration, end-to-end data integrity, security patching, and equipment maintenance issues in a simulated hospital setting. Technology Assessment: Prototype suitability, hazard identification, usability gap identification of device/system. Medical System and Safety Engineering: Evaluate concepts of operation / system requirements to assure safety and inform product development, focusing on device informatics. Medical IoT R & D. Provide controlled, representative, emulated hospital or Client healthcare architectural environments for prototyping and testing of medical IoT and wireless technologies.
