We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer and PostgreSQL System Administrator to join our team. Job Description: As a Node.js Developer & PostgreSQL database administrator, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our front end applications while ensuring the optimal performance of our database backends. You will collaborate with dev-ops and system administrators and help maintain an enterprise software stack with zero downtime. You will work with multidisciplinary teams including healthcare providers and data scientists to support feature development with well defined and measurable criteria for success. Key Responsibilities: Node.js Development Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Node.js, JavaScript and Typescript Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. General experience applying and inferring type to data in a web development environment PostgreSQL Administration Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases. Monitor database performance and implement optimizations. Ensure data security, backup, and recovery procedures are in place. UNIX System Administration Manage and maintain UNIX/Linux servers, including performance tuning and troubleshooting. Implement and monitor system security measures. Automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency through scripting. Team Responsibilities: Work effectively with product managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions, advancing the goals of Intellivisit by successfully delivering software to specification in a timely manner. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Node.js Developer, with a strong understanding of JavaScript. Hands-on experience in PostgreSQL database administration. Proficient in UNIX/Linux system administration. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experienced with software for healthcare including EPIC and other EMR systems. Preferred Skills: Experience with platform as a service solutions such as Aptible or Heroku Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
