THE ROLE AND THE TEAM


You will work as a member of the Robotics Expert team, contributing to the implementation of offline programming solutions for Visual Components product suites. In this role, you will focus on integrating the software with the real world hardware and developing and optimizing postprocessors that translate simulation data into executable robot code, ensuring seamless integration with various industrial robot controllers.


You will report to the Team Lead of the Robotics Expert team and use your robotics expertise to handle commissioning projects, documentation, and technical product support

This role requires global travel to customer sites, where you will work closely with clients and partners to ensure commissioning success by matching the simulation with the real robot cell. You will join an experienced, close-knit team and collaborate to develop your skills and achieve shared goals.


Your can be located in Espoo or Tampere, where we have offices, but remote work from other parts of Finland is possible. However, you are required to attend onboarding and training at the Tampere office in the beginning.



YOUR IMPACT


  • Developing and optimizing postprocessors that translate offline programming data into executable robot code
  • Conducting customer implementation projects at customer sites, where you will calibrate the software according to the real robot cell and test the accuracy of the system to ensure customer success
  • Serving as our technical ambassador: train our customers in the proper use of our products and help them to get the maximum value out of them
  • Provide product presentations and demonstrations for potential customers together with our sales professionals
  • Providing advice and technical support to customers and troubleshooting challenges when required



THE SKILLS YOU BRING


  • Experience in robot programming and offline robot programming (OLP) software
  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand robot program files regardless of specific syntax; understanding of robot code structure, motion commands, and execution flow to interpret and adapt programs effectively.
  • Strong Python skills for scripting and postprocessor development
  • Experience in 3D modeling and/or simulation software
  • Enthusiasm to be in touch with people and help them to solve their problems
  • Solid interest in conducting online and on-site trainings for customers and talking to groups of people
  • Multitasking skills
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites across the globe
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with customers in English on a high professional level
  • Relevant educational background, for example, engineering degree


We would appreciate it if you also have any of the following:

  • Hands-on experience in working with industrial robots
  • Experience with industrial robot processes like robotic welding, painting, cutting, handling
  • Language skills in other languages, like German, French, and Spanish
