Position Overview
Seeking a highly skilled OT/ICS Cybersecurity Specialist to join a growing cybersecurity team. In this fully remote role, you will focus on protecting industrial control systems (ICS), operational technology (OT), and critical infrastructure environments from cyber threats. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT security, engineering, and operations, to develop and implement security strategies tailored to industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, design, and implement cybersecurity solutions tailored to OT/ICS environments.
Perform threat modelling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management for ICS and SCADA systems.
Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents affecting OT systems using SIEM and other detection tools.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure secure architecture and network segmentation.
Review and enforce compliance with industry standards such as NIST 800-82, IEC 62443, and NERC CIP.
Conduct audits, penetration testing, and red/blue team exercises in OT environments.
Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training for OT personnel and plant operators.
Maintain documentation of policies, procedures, and incident response play books.
Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in OT cybersecurity.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity or industrial network security.
Strong understanding of OT protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.) and ICS/SCADA systems.
Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, asset discovery, and vulnerability scanners.
Familiarity with OT network architecture and segmentation techniques.
Working knowledge of industrial cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISA/IEC 62443, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Security certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, GRID, or similar.
Experience with incident response and digital forensics in OT environments.
Background in utilities, manufacturing, oil & gas, or critical infrastructure industries.
Experience with cloud-connected OT security platforms or IIoT cybersecurity.
