Position: Power BI Developer
Duration: 12-Month Contract W2 (with a possibility of extension, but not guaranteed)
Location: Remote Must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours, regardless of physical location

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Health Equity/ Power BI Developer with a strong background in business intelligence development, data analytics, and healthcare data sets. This role will focus on creating data-driven solutions that support health equity initiatives, utilizing tools like Tableau, PowerBI, and Oracle Health Cerner platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop analytics visualizations using Tableau and PowerBI (Tableau is required).
  • Extract, integrate, and analyse data from sources such as Allscripts SCM and Infinity databases.
  • Work with Oracle Health Cerner Health Analytics/Population Health platforms to access and analyse healthcare data.
  • Build and maintain data models, create query logic, and provide actionable insights for various stakeholders.
  • Analyse and interpret healthcare data sets, including clinical, administrative, financial, and operational data.
  • Utilize healthcare data standards such as ICD, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, and SNOMED.
  • Communicate data analysis results, findings, and recommendations to both clinical and technical audiences effectively.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a BI Developer.
  • Experience in the healthcare domain is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Tableau and PowerBI for data visualization.
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling and query logic using MS-SQL or similar programming languages.
  • Experience working with healthcare data systems like Oracle Health Cerner platforms.

Healthcare Data Expertise:

  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as ICD, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, and SNOMED.
  • Ability to work with and interpret healthcare data sets, including clinical, administrative, financial, and operational data.

Communication Skills:

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with clinical and technical audiences.
  • Skilled at presenting data findings and recommendations in a clear and actionable manner.

Additional Details:

  • Work Location: 2011 N. Soto St., Los Angeles, CA 90032 (Remote).
  • Work Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM (Pacific Time).
  • Dress Code: Business Casual.
