Duties
Develop and enhance in-house software applications or extensions by coding with a technical language to meet business requirements and business objectives.
Take technical specifications and develop an application or integration of data between applications, testing, as well as completing appropriate technical documentation.
Apply best practices in software development and adhere to company development standards, focusing on quality and innovation.
Deliver support to end users in the organization for specific code, including troubleshooting code.
Serve in a team leader capacity with large-scale Application Development projects and programs.
Design sustainable long-term solutions in a complex environment, considering the impact on entire landscape in the design.
Research and troubleshoot, maintain and configure software, create test scripts, and test applications and interfaces.
Lead the technical portion of projects’ scheduling and conduct meetings to coordinate activities with the business and other key stakeholders.
Research, evaluate, and recommend software and hardware products.
Design and implement architecturally compliant system landscapes.
Make recommendations to enhance processes, procedures, and policies relating to systems functioning or performance.
Maintain a working knowledge of Software Code Development leading practices and serve as a thought leader to the organization.
Lead the monitoring of project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.
May telecommute from anywhere in the United States.
Requirements
Bachelor’s (or foreign equivalent) in computer science, electronic engineering, or related field; plus, six years of experience in software and/or application development.
Knowledge of Hybris, Java, J2EE, SQL, API, Web services, REST, SOAP, JavaScript, test automation, CI/CD, AWS cloud services, Python, Shell Script, Unix, Docker, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
Experience in SDLC development, implementing new software, and enhancing existing functionality; and interfaces to and from platforms using APIs and ESB.
