This position is for a highly skilled, hands-on technical leader who can balance deep coding expertise with strategic thinking and team leadership. Our Tech Stack & Environment:Backend Technologies: WordPress Core / Custom Plugins PHP 7+ (OOP, design patterns, strict typing) MySQL, Redis, Memcached Advanced Custom Fields Twig (for admin and frontend UI) Third-party API integrations Frontend Technologies: HTML5/CSS3 (SASS, BEM) JavaScript (ES5, vanilla, jQuery) Twig.js Development Workflow: Git version control WordPress Multisite architecture for hosting and managing client sites Fully documented tasks with UX/UI mockups Focus on clean, efficient, scalable, and well-documented code Who You Are: Fluent English 8+ years of experience in full-stack development with a proven track record in SaaS Experience leading and mentoring development teams Deep expertise in PHP, JavaScript, and scalable architecture Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making skills Ability to balance hands-on development with strategic leadership Passion for optimizing codebases and improving development processes Experience integrating third-party APIs and optimizing high-traffic applications Nice to Have: Exposure to cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices Understanding of modern frontend frameworks beyond jQuery Prior experience in a leadership track (Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, etc.) Location & Time Zone Preference: If located outside of North America, you must align with our current team and maintain at least a 4-hour overlap with EST or PST time zones.
