Job Description: Software Development: Design, code, test, and maintain web and desktop application software with Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft .NET platform. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code. System Analysis: Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Maintain and enhance existing software systems as well as new development projects. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, system specifications, and technical designs. Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of applications, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality deliverables. Technical Support: Provide ongoing support and training to a diverse clientele, through e-mail, telephone and remote desktop sharing, addressing technical issues and enhancing user experience. Collaboration: Work closely with diverse clientele, including IT, project management, and end-users, to enhance and update systems to meet legislation requirements and changing client needs. Continuous Improvement: Design and prototype new patterns and techniques and stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or College Diploma in Computer Programming 1-3 Years proven experience in software development Essential Skills & Technologies: C# (.NET 8, Visual Studio) Structured Query Language (SQL/T-SQL) Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) & Design Detail oriented, accurate and dedicated to quality Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills, including the ability to research and implement new techniques and technologies Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills Preferred: Web design & development: ASP.NET (WebForms) Razer Pages CSS JavaScript Bootstrap XML, JSON User Interface Design Web services development, including Microsoft .NET Minimal APIs Multi-threaded/parallel processing software design/development Beneficial: Telerik Desktop & Web Components, Reporting Visual Basic (.NET Framework) Source Control (Git) Familiarity with the terms and requirements of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) Familiarity with E-commerce, including payment processor integration and PCI compliance Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.
