Project Lead Engineer 
Bristol (Hybrid)
£500- £525/ day Outside IR35
3-6 months rolling Contract 

We are seeking an SC-cleared Project Lead Engineer for a hybrid, contract role. The position requires occasional visits to both the Andover and Bristol sites, approximately 1-2 days per week. start asap, ideally in February 2025.

Key experience + tasks will include:

•    Support the programme chief engineer in developing and establishing the necessary standards and governance for the programme.
•    Provide engineering leadership and oversight across the engineering disciplines delivered by an external supplier.
•    Proficient in cloud architectures, cybersecurity, software development methodologies, system integration, and engineering tools for Defence Digital projects.
•    Lead engineering teams in Defence or similar environments, delivering large-scale, mission-critical systems in secure settings.
•    Familiar with defence-specific standards (e.g., DEF STAN, MIL-STD, NATO) and deployed Defence technologies, including secure communications, data analytics, and      mission-critical applications.
•    Expertise in systems engineering, software development, hardware integration, testing, and both on-premise and deployable technologies.
•    Knowledge of ISR/ISTAR capabilities, integrated sensor architecture (ISA), MongoDB, VMware, API integration, KAFKA, and Systematic applications
