Referrals are always welcome Python Developer----90% remote (one day per week onsite in Bridgewater NJ.----9-12 months Python software engineer/Developer 90% remote (one day per week onsite in Bridgewater NJ.... Duration: 9-12 months Must be USC or GC in the event that they should want to put full time contract 9-12 months $50 per hour on a W2 (no benefits) .must be able to go to the office 1x per week(Bridgewater, NJ) Back-end (server side) role, responsible for continued build out of the Quantitative Analytics Module. Responsibilities: Work on continued build out/improvement of the current data stores (Oracle, CEPH, and possibly MongoDB) including data access and persistence Requirement of prior knowledge/experience with database concepts such as SQL tuning, indexes, views, stored procedures, etc Proficient in fundamental algorithms and data structures. Server side Python processes utilizing concurrency patterns with asyncio, mutli-processing, and threading. Also, comfortable working with Numpy, Pandas, Python collections, etc Must handle API development using REST. The project requires the use of FAST API, but most important the mastery of REST protocol. An additional plus would be GRPC / socket communications Mastery over typical software development life cycle and deployment processes. Experience with GIT, MS Azure DevOps, Artifactory, etc. Our team serves as both development and DevOps, so must be comfortable building Ci/CD pipelines Comfortable developing on Redhat Linux Experience: Associates Degree preferred with 5 to 7 years demonstrated server-side development proficiency Bachelors Degree preferred with 3 to 5 years demonstrated server-side development proficiency Skills: Programming Languages: Python (NumPy, Pandas, Oracle PL/SQL). Other non-interpreted languages like Java, C%2B%2B, Rust, etc. are a plus. Must be proficient in the intermediate-advanced level of the language (concurrency, memory management, etc.) Design patterns: typical GOF patterns (factory, facade, singleton, etc) Data structures: maps, lists, arrays, etc Source Control Management: solid Git proficiency, MS Azure Devops (Ci/CD) SQL: proficiency with Oracle indexes, SQL tuning (Explain plan), views, Stored Procedures/Functions OS: majority of the development is on Redhat Linux but should be comfortable with Windows. Some unix shell scripting may be needed from time to time API development: must have proficiency with HTTP REST with GRPC/sockets as a plus Must be comfortable working in an iterative fashion in a flexible environment Manages his/her own work to ensure timely delivery Ability to converse with technical and non-technical groups
