Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Distributed Engineer with hands-on experience in Python to join our team. This role demands a deep understanding of large-scale data systems, a strong foundation in observability, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust distributed systems for applications handling massive datasets.
• Optimize system performance and scalability to meet growing demands.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve distribution-related issues.
• Drive the adoption of best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Leverage CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Spinnaker, and other developer tools to streamline workflows.
• Take full ownership of assigned tasks, driving them to completion with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.
• Strong expertise in Django framework, including building RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with Tastypie for building and consuming APIs.
• Solid experience with Celery for background task processing, scheduling, and distributed task queues.
• Proficiency with Elasticsearch, including indexing, querying, and optimizing search functionalities in distributed environment.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming and real-time communication systems including Pub/Sub systems (e.g., Redis, Kafka), or similar. (a plus)
• Experience with Cassandra, including knowledge of its distributed architecture, data modeling, and use in large-scale, high-availability systems. (a plus)
