ASSYST is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to support our client' initiatives in Austin, Texas.

The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing automated tests, creating execution plans, and determining test priorities. This role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining test scripts to ensure quality and functionality of applications within the HHSC IT Applications - Social Services Applications. The engineer will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful testing and delivery of various web-based J2EE/Portal applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automated tests, prioritize test scenarios, and create execution plans.
• Perform quality assurance and testing for applications like TIERS, YourTexasBenefits.com, Mobile App, State Portal, and other Social Services applications.
• Develop, enhance, and execute test plans for web-based applications within HHSC’s SOA platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals using Agile methodologies.
• Create and maintain technical and design documentation.
• Ensure applications function properly using contemporary testing methods.
• Provide technical support during testing and implementation.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software development, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Expertise in analyzing requirements, writing test plans, and identifying solutions for software defects.
• Proficiency in programming languages, computer systems, hardware, and operating systems.
• Experience with tools like UFT, Katalon, LoadRunner, SoapUI, Selenium, ALM, and SQL.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with teams across various levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
