Job DescriptionJob Description Early Career Program - React Web Developer Position: React Web Developer (Early Career Program) Department: Technology and Product Development Location: Remote (with occasional on-site collaboration in Los Angeles, CA) Commitment: Part-Time (12-15 hours per week) Duration: 3 months (College credit available upon completion) About LA Pet Apparel LA Pet Apparel is a Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand committed to improving pet wellness while celebrating the bond between pets and their humans. We are creating a canine wellness app designed to provide personalized care plans, activity tracking, and other interactive features to empower dog owners. Role Overview As a React Web Developer, you’ll work on building the web-based version of our canine wellness app. You’ll gain hands-on experience developing responsive user interfaces, integrating APIs, and optimizing front-end performance. This role offers a collaborative environment and mentorship from experienced engineers. Responsibilities Collaborate on the development of a web-based wellness app using React.js. Build responsive, mobile-first user interfaces tailored to pet owners. Integrate third-party APIs, such as Google Places, for features like pet-friendly location recommendations. Optimize front-end code for performance and usability. Troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues during development and testing phases. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a college/university program focused on Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (college credit available). Familiarity with React.js and front-end web development concepts. Understanding of API integration and RESTful services. Strong attention to detail and interest in creating user-friendly interfaces. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Passion for pets and innovative technology! Preferred Skills Experience with Tailwind CSS, Material-UI, or similar front-end frameworks. Basic knowledge of back-end services like Firebase. Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control. Interest or experience in working with AI/ML tools is a plus.
