We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior OpenAI Full Stack Developer to join our team remotely and help build the next generation of travel tech solutions.

As a Senior OpenAI React Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, focusing on the integration of OpenAI AI-powered solutions with a modern and robust tech stack. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of travel tech with the newest OpenAI tools and frameworks.

The initial position is part-time, remote, and structured as a 1099 contract during our MVP launch phase, with the potential for full-time employment following our first Seed funding round. Responsibilities:

• Lead Development: Take ownership of full stack development from ideation to deployment, focusing on scalability, performance, and responsiveness.
• OpenAI Integration: Utilize the latest OpenAI advancements, including GPT models, to enhance our travel chatbot capabilities. Implement AI-powered features for personalized travel planning and user interactions.
• Front-End Development: Build, maintain, and optimize responsive and interactive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, vanilla JavaScript, JSX, and React (latest versions).
• Back-End Development: Design and implement robust back-end solutions with Node.js and Express, handling data processing, APIs, and integration with MS SQL Server.
• API Development: Develop and integrate APIs to connect our applications with third-party services and travel data sources. Build secure and scalable RESTful APIs for seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.
• Database Management: Work with MS SQL Server to design and maintain efficient and scalable database schemas, write complex queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Cloud and Server Management: Deploy and manage applications on AWS infrastructure using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda. Configure and optimize NGINX servers for efficient and secure application hosting.
• Code Quality and Best Practices: Ensure high-quality code through code reviews, testing, and adherence to development best practices. Optimize code for performance, security, and maintainability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the product team, UX/UI designers, and other developers to deliver high-impact features. Lead technical discussions and guide junior developers when needed.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest OpenAI technologies, frameworks, and web development best practices. Introduce new ideas and innovations to the team.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

• Experience with OpenAI’s API and technologies, with 1+ year of hands-on experience working on AI projects or similar chatbot integrations.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in front-end development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in back-end development using Node.js, Express, and MS SQL Server.
• Strong experience working with APIs and integrating third-party services (travel industry APIs are a plus).
• 3+ years of experience working in cloud environments, especially AWS, and handling server management tasks (NGINX, EC2, RDS, S3).

Technical Skills:

• React & JSX: Deep understanding of React JavaScript framework, component-based architecture, hooks, and state management (Redux or Context API).
• JavaScript (ES6+): Expert-level knowledge of vanilla JavaScript and familiarity with modern ES6+ features.
• Node.js & Express: Strong back-end development experience with Node.js for server-side logic and API development.
• Database Management (MS SQL Server): Proficiency in SQL and relational database design, writing complex queries, and optimizing database performance.
• API Development: Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
• AWS: Proficiency with AWS cloud services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda), deploying web applications, and server management.
• NGINX: Experience configuring and optimizing NGINX servers for performance, security, and load balancing.
• OpenAI/AI Experience:
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and tools, especially OpenAI’s API models, and practical experience integrating AI solutions into web applications.
• Familiarity with fine-tuning and customizing AI models, handling API requests, and implementing conversational AI solutions is a significant plus.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience in the travel industry, working with travel-related APIs (e.g., Booking.com, Amadeus, Sabre, Skyscanner, etc.).
• Connecting custom website Chatbots to external API’s (SerpAPI, Tavily, Bing API, etc.) to access internet.
• Familiarity with DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of TypeScript for large-scale applications.
• Experience working with serverless architecture (AWS Lambda).
