Job Description: Our client, a global bank, has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer to work remote from the USA - preferably from the East Coast time zone. The Software Engineer designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Core Requirements:
6+ years of experience
Advanced experience working with Django, FastAPI, and Python
Understand all layers of the OSI model and how to troubleshoot each layer
Experience with SQL, Pandas or Polars
Candidate needs to be able to understand and express technical and abstract concepts using written and verbal English
Resource availability in US Central Time Zone: 8AM to 5PM Central Time Monday - Friday
Nice to haves:
Full stack web development experience
JavaScript, CI/CD, Powershells
Advanced troubleshooting (including network and server)
Ability to troubleshoot entire OSI model, REST APIs, and API Gateway
Delivered using an Agile methodology
