Position Overview: We’re seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails developer to join us on a greenfield project. This is a unique opportunity to work from the ground up, designing and building a brand-new application. The role requires strong expertise in clean code principles, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and best practices, ensuring the application’s performance, scalability, and maintainability. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby on Rails code for a new application Implement TDD by writing unit, functional, and integration tests to guarantee high code quality Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications Build and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas and queries Deploy and manage applications on Heroku Requirements: 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments Strong commitment to TDD, clean code principles, and best practices Proficiency with PostgreSQL and database optimization Experience deploying and managing applications on Heroku Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously Experience integrating with Salesforce Nice-to-Have: Familiarity or experience with Microsoft OneDrive API Familiarity or experience with StudyLink Connect API Familiarity with Salesforce Apex language Job Type: Freelance Pay: $70.00-$80.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Flexible language requirement: French not required Schedule: Monday to Friday Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Work Location: Remote Application deadline: 2024-11-15
