Position Overview
As a Software Developer in Test you will design, develop, and maintain the automation suites for various products offered by HealthStream in accordance with technology best practice. Work with QA team leaders and developers to understand and refine requirements. Test manually and via automation any functionality produced by the Development Team.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
Maintain best practices around QA automation and associated development.
Drive functional and non-functional testing strategies and test automation, with minimal oversight.
Perform manual testing when necessary.
Look into ways and means to improve processes, to allow us to deliver quality software faster.
Translate found defects into requirements for development teams.
Reproduce reported defects in Production scenarios.
Ensure that features are well tested from end-to-end, leading to defect-free deployments.
Qualifications
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any discipline), or closely related field of study is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of at least one programming language.
At least 2 years of experience in the job offered or as a Developer, Consultant, Software Engineer, or closely related occupation.
Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps best practices including CI/CD and automation and associated development.
Demonstrated knowledge of software technologies (Frontend, middle tier and backend) tying those to functional and non- functional requirements.
Qualifications
Possess a solid grasp on functionality within the business segment.
Advise other disciplines such as technical operations when application questions arise
Able to assess and provide risk and mitigation to product and development teams.
Evangelize testing strategies that will improve our ability to deliver products aligned with our vision and mission
Exhibit appropriate attention to time management, professional conduct and adherence to corporate policies.
Able to investigate automation failures and make recommendations on correction.
Investigate new tools and technologies which can drive test automation faster and better.
Able to report test execution results failures and bugs, with minimal oversight.
Able to clearly communicate issues to the Product and Development teams.
