Security Engineer

$65-$70/hour W2

CEI is looking for a strong Security Engineer that has a strong understanding of protecting websites and web services with authentication and authorization practices. The candidate should be experienced in implementing and guiding development of integrating identity providers into applications. This would include securing B2B and B2C websites and APIs to keep both parties safe and secure.
Job Duties:
  • Develop software by analyzing business requirements; conferring with management and users; analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
  • Determine and communicate project feasibility and sizing estimates through analysis, problem definition, requirement gathering, and solution development.
  • Provide technical approaches to business requirements and being able to document technical approaches using flow charts, design diagrams and other communication methods.
  • Facilitate design reviews and code reviews.
  • Mentor development team members to help them succeed in their assignments.
  • Protect company data by following standards to keep PHI/PII safe and by keeping information confidential.
  • Ensure scrum master and direct reports are informed about the progress of projects
  • Follow established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies.
  • Update job knowledge (continuing education) by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities.
  • Facilitate pre-production risk assessments and reviews.
  • Be involved in all aspects of the SDLC process to make projects a success
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant security experience
  • Programming experience in .NET and C#
  • Experience with setting up and configuring 3rd party identity provider (e.g. Okta, AzureB2C, Identity Provider / Deunde)
  • Experience with integrating identity providers into applications and web services (e.g. MSAL, Identity.Web, etc.)
  • Experience in designing role based and/or attribute-based authorization
  • Understanding of how to implement SSO integrations with other partners
  • Solid understanding of Net 5+ and ASP.NET.MVC and/or Razor development
  • Designing and securing REST APIs
  • Writing SQL / ADO.Net (running & writing SQL queries, creating tables and views, stored procedures and performance enhancements)
  • LINQ
  • Bachelors degree (preferably in computer science related field)
