About the Role
Due to organisational expansion, we are seeking a Senior Azure Developer to join our Digital Transformation Program team.
This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing seamless integration solutions within the Microsoft Azure environment. This role is offered on a maximum-term basis of 1 year. Please note that this is not a day rate contract opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Pipelines, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, and API Management.
Design and document API specs, including expected usage and key design decisions.
Learn and understand the business domain to align solutions with the business.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design efficient Azure integration solutions.
Write clean, testable code using .NET Core and SOLID principles.
Contribute test cases to our automation suite using Spec-Flow.
Identify and manage database changes as part of development.
Perform regular code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
Estimate effort required for development tasks and plan deliverables accordingly.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure services and applications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies and best practices.
Coach and mentor other developers to improve their coding skills.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Pipelines, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, and API Management.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, ASP.Net, .NET Core, SQL, and API development.
Knowledge of RESTful API design, SOAP, and other web services protocols.
Familiarity with integration patterns, such as publish-subscribe, request-reply, and asynchronous messaging.
Experience with hybrid cloud scenarios, connecting on-premises systems to Azure services.
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments.
Desirable: Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
Desirable: Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
Strong interpersonal and team working skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
