Description We’re seeking a dedicated Senior Backend Developer to work within our Product Development group. You'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects including greeneld products, improving existing features, paying down technical debt (yup, we really do it!), and everything in between. This role is an opportunity for you to really make a high impact and build as we enter our next phase of growth. We’re looking for someone that not only will be driving new feature development, but ensuring best practices are top of mind. Key Responsibilities Your time will be divided between new features, UI/UX improvements, repaying technical debt, and improving existing features You'll prioritize and work on multiple projects from start to finish, balancing quality, stability, and project delivery You'll review your teammates' work, help set high standards, and look for ways to improve the overall quality of our codebase You'll work within your team to achieve technical excellence by taking a collaborative approach to architecture, technical patterns, and complex problems Work-life balance is a priority at AgencyAnalytics, so you'll have the exibility to work the way that suits you best Skills, Knowledge & Expertise You’ve worked on a product development team that has delivered features and services from beginning to end You've designed and developed services that handle millions of requests You’re able to innovate through iteration. Breaking down product features into shippable value increments You've worked closely with engineering peers, product and design members to create high quality products that customers love to use You’ve successfully helped your teams prioritize work to maximize quality, stability and project delivery Through code reviews and peer feedback, you advocate for high standards and look for ways to improve the overall quality of our codebase You take a collaborative approach to architecture, technical patterns, and complex problems You have experience working in a fully remote environment You have 5+ years of professional experience with PHP, including PHP 8+ and the modern PHP ecosystem You have deep experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel You have 4+ years experience working on large scale SaaS applications (no CMS please) You are well-versed in various design patterns and know where to apply them You have deep experience crafting optimized RDBMS queries You have experience leading technical discovery, architectural planning, and technical scoping on your team You have a high bar for quality and hold yourself and your peers accountable to it You proactively take on challenges from start to finish You’re good at unblocking yourself and your team to keep things moving Our Stack Modern PHP (PSR) + Laravel Typescript, React, and Redux GCP Cloud SQL (MySQL), BigQuery, and Redis GCP Cloud Tasks and PubSub About AgencyAnalytics At AgencyAnalytics, we empower marketing agencies with cutting-edge tools to streamline their reporting processes and elevate their client relationships.
