We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the server development team. This role focuses on creating and improving the server-side logic used to create our ever-growing portfolio of world-class slot machines, and work on related backend services, codebases, and components. The Senior Backend Engineer will work directly with game designers to define features, project managers to scope and schedule deliverables, and frontend engineers to ensure the right data is sent to the client. Duties and Responsibilities Develop server-side game logic using F# for our suite of online social-casino games. Create and enhance testing tools using F# (with possible trace C# work) to verify games' mathematical integrity and client-facing APIs. Collaborate with a distributed team in the modernization of technical solutions Combine sophisticated social-gaming elements into the core casino games. Collaborate with game designers and mathematicians. Work with project manager to break down high-level goals into tasks and timelines. Requirements Expert knowledge of F# or C# of at least 4 years Experience or expertise with functional programming, including its application via LINQ, immutability, and the use of first-class functions. Understanding of client-server architecture in RESTful or similar request-response systems Thorough understanding of HTTP technologies and REST/JSON interfaces Ability to be productive in legacy tech stacks Excellent communication and organizational skills Proven ability to build high-quality products BS in Computer Science or similar Preferred Competence or expertise in F#, Haskell, OCaml, Scala, Clojure, Scheme, or Common Lisp.
