At LIGR we are fully remote team building cloud-based streaming and graphics software for live sports at all levels—from grassroots to professional leagues—across multiple disciplines. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help maintain, improve, and evolve our platform as we add more services for our growing client base. LIGR is part of the Crionet Group. www.ligrystems.com What you’ll do: Develop and maintain core backend services, data pipelines, and adapters Build systems to ingest and create media assets Design, implement, and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs Develop and maintain queue-based and event-driven systems Work primarily with AWS (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, ElastiCache) Implement and maintain secure services and APIs Maintain and enhance deployment pipelines Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions Collaborate as an active, engaged member of the team What you’ll bring: Extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying backend systems in a cloud environment Production-level experience with queue systems and job scheduling Experience working with serverless technologies (e.g., Lambda) Strong AWS expertise Proficiency in SQL and Redis Understanding of database performance tuning, general performance optimization, and system scaling Knowledge of security best practices and authentication mechanisms A focus on building reliable, maintainable systems Ability to work effectively and independently in a small team A solid understanding of first-principles thinking (“why” behind decisions) Strong Node.js/TypeScript experience Not required but helpful: Experience with video streaming technologies, storage, and delivery As a senior member, you’ll have significant responsibility and independence, helping shape both our technology stack and operational practices.
