The successful candidate will have a strong background in C++ development, Linux, and digital audio/video media (HLS streaming and GStreamer). THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU This role involves spearheading live video and audio streaming initiatives within a GStreamer-based architecture, focusing on developing new GStreamer plugins and leveraging C++ and open-source libraries. Responsibilities include writing and updating tools for audio and video coding for TV and music applications in a Linux environment, as well as crafting backend server-side tools for high-performance, multimedia streaming services. Collaboration with diverse teams is key to seamlessly integrating multimedia streaming solutions into cloud-based environments via containerization technologies. Additionally, contributing to open-source projects and libraries in the multimedia streaming and cloud solutions domain is expected. KEY SUCCESS FACTORS (top 3 must haves) 5+ years of professional C++ development experience, with a strong background in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design. Proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20) Experience with Linux Comfortable using Linux and navigating the terminal effectively. Media Experience Familiarity with digital/video/audio technologies (HLS streaming, GStreamer, etc.) Experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes environments. NICE TO HAVES Proven experience in low-latency programming, real-time systems, or performance optimization.
