What we are looking for
We seek a talented and detail-oriented Cloud Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in pushing builds to various environments, automating processes, and ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud infrastructure. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and streamlining CI/CD pipelines, monitoring resources, and implementing best practices for security and privacy. This is a newly created role where strong scripting skills and expertise in Azure are essential. Effective communication and collaboration with the development team are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Release builds to production and other environments.
Achieve automation and orchestration of tools to optimize workflows.
Monitor cloud environments and track relevant metrics.
Implement best practices for security and privacy to maintain a secure environment.
Ensure the continuous availability and performance of production and other environments.
Collaborate closely with the development team to support their needs.
Create architecture diagrams and documentation for cloud infrastructure.
Translate loosely defined requirements into effective solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Information Systems.
At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Operations role.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure.
Proficiency in scripting.
At least 1 year of hands-on experience using TerraForm
Familiarity with container orchestration services, with a focus on Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Internet Information Services (IIS).
Significant experience with Windows operating systems and some exposure to Linux environments.
Experience with Azure pipelines.
Qualifications/Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies.
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in maintaining an always-available service.
Assets:
Azure certifications or related qualifications are a plus.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
