Job Purpose: As a Senior Developer, your primary responsibility is to lead the technical design and development of several digital products and support ongoing initiatives set in new digital markets. You will work closely with the product owner, development team, and other stakeholders to define the technical architecture and infrastructure of the platform, ensuring that it meets the organization's goals, strategic priorities, and technical requirements. Your role is critical in ensuring that the platform is scalable, secure, and optimized for performance, while remaining user-friendly and accessible to a diverse range of users. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the technical roadmap with the Head of Innovation, defining technical requirements, and working with the development team to ensure that technical features are delivered on time and within budget. You will also be responsible for conducting technical research, analyzing data, and providing insights that inform the development of the technical architecture and infrastructure. As a key member of the incubator team, you will help to identify and mitigate technical risks, and ensure that the platform is launched successfully, meeting the needs of its users and achieving its business goals. Your ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential to the success of the platform and the incubator team. Responsibilities: Define and communicate the technical vision and strategy for software development projects Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery Create and maintain technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, code standards, and best practices Lead the design and development of complex software systems, ensuring that they meet functional and non-functional requirements Ensure that software development projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to technical specifications Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other members of the development team Design and deliver digital solutions and maintain existing products Build custom software solutions using web technologies and collaborate with scrum teams to implement new features and strategically plan for future products. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of coding standards Ensure the security and integrity of data and software systems Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code and maintain technical documentation Troubleshoot and debug applications to identify and fix issues Provide technical support to end-users as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field such as computer science, engineering, or information technology Strong experience in software development and architecture, with at least 5-10 years of experience in the field Strong knowledge of software design patterns, architecture patterns, and best practices Experience with multiple programming languages and platforms (such as Python, PHP and Node.js) Familiarity with cloud technologies and services (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) Experience with database design and management (such as MySQL, Oracle) Knowledge of software development principles and methodologies (such as Agile & Scrum) Experience with version control systems (such as Git) Familiarity in API design and development and delivering RESTful Services Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative team player Excellent data analysis skills Demonstrated analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
