Job Title: Senior VB.NET Developer with Citrix Duration: 12 months Location: Austin, TX Job Description We are seeking a talented .NET Developer (Visual Basic) to join with the client. The selected candidate will perform development tasks and provide support for the Engineering s applications. Key responsibilities include: Responsibilities: Plan, develop, test, and document computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. Evaluate user requests for new or modified programs, such as financial or human resource management systems, clinical research trial results, statistical studies of traffic patterns, or specifications for bridge design, to determine feasibility, cost, time requirements, compatibility with current systems, and computer capabilities. Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. Formulate plans outlining steps required to develop programs using methodologies such as structured analysis and design or object-oriented development. Serve as an SME and provide support for the client's engineering applications, including SiteManager, BAMS/DSS, I2MS, and AASHTOWare projects (APCM, APVM, APCRL). Manage server and application upgrades as needed. Troubleshoot system integration issues. Minimum Requirements Education and Experience: 8 years: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. 8 years: Experience in VB.Net and MS Excel VBA programming or similar programming languages. 8 years: Experience in deploying and troubleshooting published apps for RMD and Citrix platforms. 8 years: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure. 8 years: Experience with version control tools like GitHub, GitLab, or similar. 8 years: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 8 years: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AASHTOWARE applications at the client. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and VSTS (DevOps). Experience using Agile methods for software development.
