We are driven to prioritize Indigenous community impact, invest in your growth and development, and grow our business via sustainable value measured in generations. *The Role: Senior Developer/DevOps* We are seeking a Senior Developer/DevOps professional who can excel in both development and infrastructure roles. As a senior developer, you will provide technical leadership within your team and across projects, while your DevOps responsibilities will focus on building and maintaining our SOC2 compliant cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This dual role is critical in maintaining robust, secure infrastructure while ensuring high-quality software delivery. *What you'll do:* Technical Leadership and Development: - Write secure, maintainable code following team standards - Make sound architectural decisions with strong focus on security and performance - Mentor intermediate and junior developers in secure coding practices - Provide detailed code reviews that enforce quality standards - Shape technical approaches within defined work - Participate in technical discovery - Address complex engineering challenges across our platform Infrastructure and Deployment Automation: - Build and maintain cloud infrastructure following SOC2 requirements - Implement Infrastructure as Code with comprehensive security controls - Automate deployment processes while maintaining audit trails - Ensure efficient CI/CD workflows that meet compliance standards - Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure changes - Streamline delivery while enforcing security best practices Security and SOC2 Compliance: - Implement and maintain security controls across development and infrastructure - Work with IT & Compliance on security best practices - Manage access controls and audit logging - Ensure systems maintain required certifications - Help enforce security standards across development teams - Maintain SOC2 compliance throughout our technology stack *Preferred Qualifications:* - 5+ years of relevant DevOps experience - 5+ years of software development experience - Previous experience working with a First Nation community or organization is an asset - Strong background in cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS) - Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools - Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation - Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements - Understanding of SOC2 compliance requirements *Skills & Abilities:* - Strong software development skills across multiple languages - Experience with cloud infrastructure and security implementation - Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation - Strong understanding of security best practices - Experience with monitoring and observability tools - Proficient in version control systems and DevOps tools - Strong problem-solving abilities - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to mentor and guide other developers - Experience working in agile development environments - Experience with deployment of mobile apps to iOS and Android *Our Tech Stack:* - Ruby & Rails - Elixir & Phoenix - Flutter for Mobile Development - Infrastructure is in Kubernetes hosted in GCP Preference may be given to well-qualified candidates who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit, or of Aboriginal descent).
