As our Senior Software Engineer you will design, develop, upgrade and support applications that will enhance the overall digital experience of our end users and systems that consume services provided by one of the best considered Loyalty Platforms in retail industry. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work closely with extremely talented peers, engineers from cross functional teams, leads and architects to understand and brainstorm on omni-channel solutions and design patterns required to solve a specific problem at hand. Your responsibilities include: Technical design, development and delivery of complex features and enhancement of the Loyalty APIs. Develop secure and high-quality production code, and actively participate in code review and test solutions to ensure it meets best practice specifications. Drive conversations with offshore team and able to assign the tasks and review the completeness of those tasks. Work across entire tech stack from enterprise applications services to data base Access loyalty scope across omni channels. Contribute to the overall system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability and performance of the loyalty platform API’s. Serves as a subject matter expert on the projects related to Loyalty domain. Participate in sprint releases with close to zero tolerance on delivery slippages. Able to quickly understand the business domain of loyalty for dotcom and retail channels. Proactively monitor, identify, isolate and resolve problems to avoid impact on the business. Hands-on experience with JavaScript prominent libraries and frameworks (React, Redux, Angular, Underscore, etc), tools (Webpack, Grunt, npm, etc), cross-browser compatibility, unit testing (Jest, Jasmine, Enzyme, etc), and performance optimization. Strong understanding of React and Redux is preferred. Hands-on experience in planning, designing, developing and delivering enterprise solutions with excellent debug and troubleshooting skills. Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot frameworks and other web related technologies. 2+ years of full stack expertise in both frontend (React & Node) and backend (Java) platforms is preferred. Understanding on the basic concepts of Kubernetes architecture is preferred. Understanding of Caching Design Principles (Coherence) is preferred. First-hand experience in designing, deploying and managing RESTful APIs using JSON message structures. Hands-on experience with designing cloud-based applications using micro services architecture and best practices preferably on MS Azure cloud platform. Highly preferred if you have experience with decomposing monolith application into micro services. Hands-on experience with Istio service mesh, Feign client for third party calls, service discovery, Prometheus and Azure logging. Experience in Implementation of monitoring and alerts dashboards using Splunk, Nagios and App Dynamics. Hands-on experience with queueing and streaming solutions especially in Kafka. Hands-on experience with My SQL, MS SQL and any other No SQL databases. Working experience with GitHub, Jenkins and other dev ops related tools & applications. Experience working in the retail industry with a large-scale enterprise organization, ecommerce, marketing and self-serviceable applications will be a plus. #LI-KC1 The annual base salary range for this position is $132,210.00 - $163,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
