Job Description:
AIRM Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Senior Front-End or Full-Stack Developer to support our growing team of engineers, actuaries, data scientists, and developers. This opportunity is for someone excited about autonomy, ownership, and a breadth of responsibility. Quality of work and ownership are key qualities for this role. At AIRM, you will be part of a team that delivers new technology solutions, focusing on driving investment in clean technology adoption for stakeholders in the agri-supply chain.
As a Senior Developer skilled in constructing web applications, your work will focus on designing products for our users that are simple, intuitive to use, and meet their needs. You will play a central role in the entire design process to improve the end-to-end experience and shape the vision of our innovative products.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to deliver new business value through software development.
Design and develop intuitive, responsive web applications.
Deliver exceptional user experiences through the creation of simple and intuitive user interfaces.
Play a central role in the entire design process to improve the end-to-end user experience and shape the vision of our innovative products.
Provide leadership and guidance to contribute to the development of engineering staff within your team.
Work within an Agile environment to plan and deliver work incrementally, improving designs through multiple iterations.
Qualifications:
You MUST reside in Canada for this position.
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
10+ years of relevant work experience in front-end or full-stack development.
Strong understanding of JavaScript and modern JavaScript libraries/frameworks.
Deep expertise in React and its core principles.
Experience with UI/UX design principles and creating intuitive user interfaces.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Mapbox, BaseWeb, and Styletron is a plus.
Knowledge of back-end technologies like Python, Django, GraphQL, and Postgres is beneficial.
Experience with Git, GitHub, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, and Agile methodologies.
Experience with cloud-based development (AWS, Azure) is desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
