The Opportunity:

My client are a technology software house who are currently looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer on a permanent basis to be based out of their offices in Exeter, Devon.

In this role you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining their cutting-edge software applications adhering to agile principles with Scrum as the chosen methodology.

You will be passionate about technology, thrive in a collaborative and innovative environment and be keen to help get involved with the medium to long-term vision of the company via mentoring colleagues and being involved with their technical and professional development plans.

Skills and Experience:

• 5 + years’ experience in Frontend Software Development 
• A proven ability to mentor and lead junior developers.​
• Expertise in React and Next.js and solid experience with modern front-end frameworks and libraries.​
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5, and component libraries like UI.​
• Good knowledge of back-end technologies, particularly C# and .NET.​
• Experience integrating front-end and back-end services, with a deep understanding of APIs.​
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, and Cucumber.​
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss both front-end and back-end concepts with technical and non-technical stakeholders.​
• ​​Experience with SEO optimisation for web applications and lead-generation websites.​
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerisation (e.g., Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.​
• Knowledge of design patterns and best practices for both front-end and back-end systems.​
