The co-founders have been building the platform over the past 10+ years in a research lab, undergoing 4 clinical trials and over 12 studies. About the Role We are looking for a highly motivated, self-directed individual who is excited to take on a ground-floor opportunity with a fast-paced healthcare technology start-up. As the inaugural developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing our product and helping the team execute on our product vision. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and grow with a dynamic startup. Key Responsibilities Maintain existing instances with clients and make adjustments in Angular JS as needed Implement new customers and participate in sales conversations to answer technical questions Establish technical requirements to support the long-term functionality and scalability of the product Collaborate with the founding team to build a product strategy and product roadmap to prioritize and implement new features Recommending upgrades to existing systems to optimize performance and bottom line Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high quality and reliability Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to improve our technology stack continually Work collaboratively with the sales and customer teams to incorporate customer feedback into the product roadmap Track and report on product related metrics Manage our web hosting and cloud platforms, and any vendor relationships related to the product Build out the technical function at the company and eventually build out and lead a technical team About You Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years of work experience in full stack development Proficient with fundamental web technologies HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and the DOM Proficient with modern web frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular Experience with GIT and source control Experience working with Content Management systems like CraftCMS or WordPress Experience building Docker containers Experience working with Ubuntu or other Linux distributions Familiar with PHP and NodeJS Familiar with software design concepts like Object Oriented Programming and time complexity Familiar with designing SQL queries for MySQL or Postgres Experience working on agile teams and leading engineering teams Comfortability working with and migrating deprecated web frameworks like AngularJS Excellent communication and collaboration skills The desire to work in a challenging environment - you love to hustle and will thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment A self-starter, driven with a strong growth mindset, attention to detail and process-oriented skills Ability to work independently while keeping multiple stakeholders and teams connected and informed Why work for Genetics Adviser?
