This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate closely with our developers, data specialists, and external stakeholders to bring integration and migration visions to life. At the same time, you will act as a trusted technical advisor for our clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the integration process.

About the Role

As a Senior Integration Specialist at WasteHero, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining secure, efficient, and scalable integrations and data migration workflows. Working in an agile environment, you will tackle everything from mapping data structures to mentoring junior developers.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading Complex Integrations: Architecting and implementing APIs and integrations for our new and existing customers.

Data Migration: Designing and executing data migrations in Python and SQL, ensuring high-quality, reliable transfers.

Clean, Scalable Code: Building and maintaining Python code that is easy to understand, test, and extend.

Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams—developers, designers, and product managers—to deliver new features and improvements.

Quality Assurance: Performing thorough code reviews and promoting coding standards and best practices

Who You Are

We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented professional who thrives in an agile environment and can take ownership of integrations from start to finish.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Python development.

Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of Python and SQL.

Proven experience in designing, administering, and migrating databases.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.

Language Skills:

Fluent in Finnish and English; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Problem Solver:

You have strong analytical abilities and enjoy tackling complex challenges.

Customer-Centric:

Comfortable in client-facing roles, understanding their requirements, and providing clear updates.
