Job Description:

We are currently seeking a meticulous, determined, and energetic Senior Java Developer to join our team. This role will provide custom Java application development expertise as well as automation and cloud migration support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work directly with clients to provide engineering solutions and debugging support
• Develop custom Java applications, per client specifications
• Identify and develop enhancements to existing applications
• Develop software application tests and testing strategies
• Script solutions to automate manual processes
• Develop solutions to strengthen the security in and around applications
• Analyze industry specific requirements/technologies and provide insight
• Automate administrative tasks using configuration management tools, such as Ansible

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree
• USA Citizenship.
• Must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security Clearance
• 7+ years’ integration, systems analysis, or programming experience
• 5+ years’ debugging and managing Services / Applications in Production environments
• 3+ years’ experience with Springboot/Apache/Tomcat
• Experience creating/working with custom Java applications
• Experience supporting/creating REST and SOAP applications
• Experience with developing and maintaining customer facing applications
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and phase-based delivery methods
• Experience with Test Driven Development

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, and general cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment strategies
• Confidence following testing, security, and configuration management best practices
• Practical knowledge of systems engineering and networking
• Experience with human centered design

Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
