• Serve as the Technical Lead to research, analyze, design, develop, test, and implement various features for the Texas Integrated Data Exchange Node (TIDEN) that supports the agency s participation in the EPA sponsored National Environmental Information Exchange Network (NEIEN).
• Support the development and maintenance of applications, as assigned, that operate in complex Java and Oracle environments. Provide Information Technology services as necessary to implement and deploy selected client's project(s).
• Resolve System Acceptance/User Acceptance testing issues including analyzing customer documented defects/bugs with root cause analysis, solutions, and plan for implementation.
• Produce running program modules which meet client's, DIR and World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) specifications and standards.
• Recommend changes to improve the established processes.
• Advanced Enterprise Developer with 7+ years experience in Java and 5+ years experience in Oracle database (SQL and PL/SQL) with good working knowledge in SQL Server databases
• Java - Web services, JSP/UI, JBOSS, J2EE, XML, and database connectivity
• Proficient understanding of system networking
• Full stack Java Web application development
• Experience in analyzing large enterprise JAVA applications with multiple layers and connectivity to client's stakeholder systems and external vendor systems. Ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner with excellent communication / documentation skills and to provide root cause analysis and solutions.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make corrections.
• Excellent technical writing skills in documenting materials, designs, and specifications
• Ability to analyze technical architecture and infrastructure environments.
• Proactively support infrastructure upgrades in compliance with cybersecurity standards and requirements
• Good communication and team collaboration skills
