Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Contract – Manchester - Outside IR35 – £neg – 6 months

Great opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established design consultancy on a 6 month contract based in the heart of Manchester.

The role

• Assisting in developing detailed designs in line with the client brief
• Conducting mechanical design services calculations
• Assisting in the production of mechanical services specifications and schedules
• Conducting feasibility studies
• Providing technical support and advice
• Provide statements and/or reports when needed

Essential Requirements

• Dynamic individuals with a strong HVAC background
• First-rate communication skills
• Knowledge of existing standards and ability to develop requirements for new building service projects
• Previous experience working on commercial fit out projects
• Experience doing site surveys, heat calculations, steam and ventilation systems design
• Working knowledge of technical software including Hevacomp
• Excellent time management skills
• Drive and determination
• Good supervisory qualities and experience
• Highly motivated with the drive to take on new challenges
