Senior Mechanical Engineer 
Location: Home-based with UK site-based assignments
Salary: Up to £62,500 (DOE) + £4,000 car allowance + benefits

Toro Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a leading client in the renewable energy and power sectors. This position offers a chance to work on innovative projects while leading teams and driving mechanical engineering excellence. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical engineering projects, ensuring delivery within timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and manage mechanical system designs, including structural steel and process pipework.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering team growth and technical excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical codes, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide effective engineering solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or equivalent); Chartered Engineer status preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial mechanical engineering.
  • Expertise in mechanical design and fabrication, particularly in structural steel and process pipework.
  • Proficiency in ASME B31.3 and global standards for pressure systems, lifting equipment, and storage tanks.
  • Strong skills in P&IDs, CAD software, and Microsoft Office tools.
