Overview:
The Sr. Software Engineer is primarily responsible for the performance and stability of critical applications. You will be expected to implement changes, bug fixes that support onboarding of new clients and quick resolution of production issues. You are expected to foster high performing technical teams. You will be required to collaborate effectively with senior developers, offshore development team members, business owners, project management, and other internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Develop high quality software modules for the Cotiviti product suite
Analyze and resolve software related issues originated from internal or external customers in production and client facing environments
Analyze requirements and specifications and create detailed designs for implementation
Independently troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal or no guidance
Collaborate closely with offshore development team to provide technical translation of business requirements and ensure software construction adheres to Cotiviti best practices coding techniques
Continuously update professional knowledge of new technologies as selected and integrated into the Cotiviti product suite
Execute all appropriate facets of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle with a desire for continuous improvement
Mentor other developers
Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science or technically related discipline
7+ years of relevant industry experience
Experience in resolving issues in Production and Client facing environments.
5+ years of experience with Java applications
2+ years experience in development using Oracle and SQL programming expertise
Experience working with Unix/Linux systems.
Experience with Git, Jenkins
Understanding of prevalent Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies with specific exposure or participation in Agile Scrum techniques preferred
Ability to execute project deliverables in a dynamic, fast paced environment within estimated timelines
Good written and oral communication skills
Base compensation ranges from $105,000 to $137,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is based remotely, and all interviews will be conducted virtually.
