Full-Time Opportunity for Senior Software Engineer (fully remote)

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for working with both Aptys customers and Aptys internal personnel to design and build Aptys products for use by Aptys customers and their customers as applicable. The Senior Software Engineer also works with internal Aptys personnel and Aptys customers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with the Aptys products and services in both customer and Aptys environments. The Senior Software Engineer interacts with customers on a regular basis.

The Senior Software Engineer will be required to work in a cross-functional team and must be self-motivated with the ability to work in a team or independently, as needed. The person is this role will possess strong organization skills, strong communication (written and verbal) skills, and have a strong attention to detail. The Senior Software Engineer must also be able to work under pressure while designing and developing new product functionality or updating existing product functionality.

Essential Requirements:

• 4-year undergraduate degree in technical field such as Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience designing and developing e-commerce systems.
• In depth-experience with the following technologies or activities:
  • Strong .NET experience, preferably in C#
  • Strong experience developing ASP.NET applications
  • Developing and interfacing with web services
  • Relational database development
  • UI design and development
  • Cloud application development
• Strong interest in emerging technologies, especially mobile and cloud technologies
• Experience implementing unit tests and automated testing platforms
• DevOps experience and focus on building and deploying infrastructure using cloud deployment methodologies

Preferred Requirements:

• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience with financial systems is a plus
• Payments (check, ACH, credit card, etc.) or other experiences related to the financial industry is preferred.
• Experience scaling infrastructure as demand grows is a plus.

Office space

We re a fully remote company, so you need to provide your own workspace. You must:

• Have a quiet space to be able to take company calls and focus on your work
• Have a workspace where you can focus, including a chair or other facility that allows you to work for multiple hours at a time, and a desk or other facility where your computer is available to work comfortably.
• Update your status in an online work management system.
• Be comfortable using text communication tools, such as email and chat, for most communication with coworkers
