About the Role: Our client, a leading company in the telephony solutions industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Elixir to join their innovative team. This position offers the opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions that enhance contact center capabilities, leveraging advanced technologies. Job Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, high-performance software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, plan, and implement new features. Ensure software designs meet functional and technical requirements, providing exceptional user experiences. Write unit, integration, and UI automation tests to ensure code quality. Investigate, triage, and resolve production issues to ensure smooth operations. Required Skills and Experience: 6+ years of professional software development experience. Expertise in Elixir and Phoenix, with a deep understanding of their core concepts and frameworks. Strong grasp of software engineering principles and best practices. Proficient in Linux/*Nix command-line environments. Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Proven ability to work independently in troubleshooting and resolving production issues. Desired Skills and Experience: Experience with SIP telephony or a willingness to learn. Familiarity with Ruby and Ruby on Rails. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and Heroku. Background in telephony systems development (SIP, RTP). Familiarity with Docker and Docker-Compose. Experience with test automation frameworks and performance monitoring tools (e.g., Specs). Candidates with a Telecom industry background will be given priority. Salary: Target salary is $140k, with flexibility up to $150k or more for exceptional candidates. Additional Notes: Candidates must have a stable work history, with at least 4-5+ years tenure in their most recent role. Candidates with multiple short-term roles in the past 5+ years will not be considered.
