Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team and lead the development of Tickblaze’s hybrid trading platform. Working closely with our CEO and CTO, you will play a key role in designing and implementing advanced trading tools, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for both discretionary and algorithmic traders. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance desktop trading applications that meet the highest quality standards. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, and mentor junior developers. Key Responsibilities Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications using C#, .NET, and WPF technologies. Create scalable, reliable, and user-friendly solutions tailored for both discretionary and quant traders. Collaborative Development: Partner with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Work closely with the QA team to ensure the platform’s performance and reliability. Risk Management: Collaborate with C-level management to establish a risk management process for critical technical operations. Ensure smooth project execution by supporting deployment, coordinating sprints, and assisting the support team as needed. Code Quality and Reviews: Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. Technical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure seamless functionality. Product Development and Testing: Develop and optimize trading indicators, algorithms, and other software products. Support strategy backtesting and optimization analysis to aid in product development. Continuous Learning and Mentorship: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies. Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance. Qualifications Education and Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with expertise in C#, .NET, and WPF. At least 3 years of experience working on large-scale B2C or B2B software projects. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns. Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Experience in Python is a plus. Trading and Financial Knowledge: Familiarity with financial markets, trading systems, and technical analysis is highly advantageous. Hands-on experience with trading platforms, indicators, and strategies. Software Quality, Testing, and Documentation: Proven ability to implement processes that ensure quality is built into software products. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
