Senior Software Engineer – Team Lead (Monitoring)

Location: Germany, Munich - Remote / Hybrid

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary - €75k - €90k

About the Role

A fast-growing cloud technology company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Team Lead to spearhead the development of a cutting-edge monitoring and logging platform. This is an opportunity to work on high-performance distributed systems, optimize cloud infrastructure, and lead a team at the forefront of software observability and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and development of an advanced monitoring, logging, and tracing platform.
• Optimize performance and scalability of cloud-based applications and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, DevOps) to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Review technical designs, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Build and grow a new engineering team, hiring and developing top talent.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

✔ Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals and distributed systems.

✔ Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, and cloud infrastructure.

✔ Experience developing monitoring and logging systems (e.g., application monitoring, tracing, and observability tools).

✔ Deep understanding of databases, microservices architecture, and system optimization.

✔ Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (a plus).

✔ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
