About the Job As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications. If you are a self-motivated and experienced software developer with a strong background in the latest development practices, this is an opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects that drive innovation and improve user experiences. You will collaborate with a small, agile team to build secure, maintainable, and high-performing applications. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to writing clean, efficient code. As part of a fully remote team, you will work independently while collaborating with stakeholders across various domains, ensuring seamless integration between frontend, backend, and infrastructure. You will be accountable for delivering high-quality software, participating in code reviews, and continuously improving development processes. Primary responsibilities: · Design and develop AWS Cloud-based applications using modern frameworks and tooling. · Work closely with business teams to create innovative and effective solutions. · Proactively identify and resolve system issues and optimization opportunities. · Prototype new services and applications. · Review code for best practices regarding security, reliability, and maintainability. · Plan and estimate effort required for proposed business projects. · Mentor fellow developers in the latest frameworks, patterns, and practices. Experience and Skills Required: · Self-motivated and able to complete work with minimal oversight. · Proficient in front-end development with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS. · Experience in back-end development utilizing NodeJS/Bun, PHP, MySQL/Postgres, OpenSearch, Redis. · TDD, unit-testing in Jest or similar frameworks. · CI/CD via GitHub actions and workflows. · Task and project management in Jira or similar. · Cloud-native development in AWS: Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, OpenSearch, DynamoDB. Compensation & Benefits: · $125,000 - $150,000 based on experience · PTO · Health, vision, and dental insurance
