Senior Software Engineer

I am privileged to be patented with and bring to the market a startup who recently received over $5M in seed funding from leading investors in this space. My client develops Cybersecurity tools to fight crime and they are led by a brilliant CEO with a vision and products that are changing this space at rapid pace.

The search is for two, maybe three Senior Software Engineers to join their team and being a startup they don t have the luxury of hiring engineers who fit most of the required skills, they need engineers who fit every point below. Please keep this in mind when applying, as we won t be able to consider candidates who don t match the following:

• 5+ years of backend development experience (Python, Rust, or similar) in high-performance, I/O-bound software.
• Expertise in Linux environments with a strong grasp of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced startups, balancing speed and adaptability.
• Strong foundation in modern development practices CI/CD, containerization, and writing secure, maintainable code.
• STEM degree (Bachelor s or higher) with expertise in systems architecture and software engineering.

Here s what you ll be doing:

• Back-End Ownership: Develop and optimize secure, high-performance solutions for mission-critical applications.
• Scalability & Deployment: Enhance CI/CD pipelines for cloud and on-prem auto-scaling environments.
• AI Integration: Implement artificial intelligence to improve engineering processes and product capabilities.
• Technical Leadership: Drive architectural decisions, data modeling, and security strategies.
• Engineering Excellence: Promote best practices, maintain secure and resilient systems, and mentor the team.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work with blockchain, forensics, and security experts to build cryptographically sound solutions.
• Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain clear technical documentation and streamline development workflows.

Startups pay differently and my client is offering

• $150,000 $180,000 base + Equity
• 401(k) match, Medical/Dental/Vision insurance
• Flexible work hours (US EST).
